Setting Up Filters

When using follow/like tasks, properly set up filters will help you engage only active and human audience. When using the unfollow task, filters will, on the contrary, weed out “dead” accounts: bots, online stores etc.

1) Range of Followers

The less followers there is the higher the chance that the user will notice the notification about your like or follow and vice versa - the more followers there is the lower the chance to get the mutual follow. This parameter should be set based on your goals.

2) Range of Follows (the amount of followed accounts)

Usually, a large number of follows indicates that the account is used for promotion and while a low number of follows could mean that the account is abandoned. Those types of accounts most likely will not be useful for your promotion. This parameter should be set based on your goals.

3) Number of Posts

Our goal is to exclude abandoned accounts with a small number of posts. Setting this parameter is up to you.

4) Last Post is not Older Than

This parameter allows you to exclude accounts that haven’t been posting for a long time, but keep in mind that a lot of people use Instagram exclusively as a news feed.

5) Custom Avatar

If the account is used by a real person it will most likely have a custom avatar. Feel free to activate this option.

6) No URL in the Description

Usually, only commercial accounts have active URLs in their profiles. Enabling this parameter is up to you.

7) Language

Choose the language that must be used in the description and thus cut off the unwanted audience.

8) Has in the Description

Here we can specify keywords that must be used in the profiles of the target audience. For example, if you want to target passionate fitness enthusiasts, their descriptions will most likely contain “fitness” keyword. Fill this in as you wish, every keyword must be entered on a new line.
